QUENIBOROUGH

There was a single Belvoir Angel stone recorded here by the Heathcote study. This one is another of what they called a variant design. The angel is still there, but this is of a completely different style to the majority. In all probability these were carved by a different firm of masons.

This stone is not standing any more, and is leaning against the north wall of the church. This is a fabulously carved angel with long flowing hair.

This stone reads 'Here lies the body of William White husband to Ann White who departed this life 15th day of November in the year of our Lord 1728 in the 56th year of his age'
