There is just a single Vale of Belvoir Angel stone in the church grounds here. The hour glass and crossed bones, which is damaged, remind the onlooker in symbol form that Man is mortal and will die.

The stone is inscribed with the basic details of the deceased. There is no epitaph below. It reads 'Here lyeth the body of John Oxon who departed this life May the 3 1710 in the 67th year of his age'

A lovely piece of work, still in really good condition given that it is more than 300 years old.
